The Apple iPhone 4G (Announced June 7th 2010, releasing June 24th 2010) replaced the iPhone 3GS as the flagship phone product of Apple. Sold through AT&T in the USA and limited other service providers across the world, the iPhone HD 4th Gen boasted 16 & 32Gb models with even higher resolution screens, 5 megapixel camera, backside illuminated sensor, 3x digitial zoon, focusing, LED flash, backgrounding, 7.2 Mbps (down) & 5.8 Mbps (up), dual mic nboise supression, 802.11 WiFi, 960 x 640 px (326 ppi) 800:1 contrast ratio, better GPS, faster processor, and micro SIMs. Model #A1332.
Apple completely changed the layout compared to the 3G iPhone or the 3GS iPhone, with controversy as the the likeness of the design, but allowing for better protection, a larger battery, and better reception. Despite many changes, the glass screen, for example, is still smooth to the touch, harder to scratch than most phone's touchscreens, is much easier to crack especially since there still is no lip to the device separating the iPhone 4 glass from any surface it lands on face down.
